ICS Grading Standards (effective 01/01/08)

GEM MINT
An ICS Gem Mint 10 slotcar is a virtually perfect slot car. Attributes include perfect posts, unblemished paint, crisp decals and an uncut/unscratched body. An ICS Gem Mint 10 slot car must be free of wear or oxidation of any kind, but an allowance may be made for a slight painting imperfection (like a factory overspray), if it does not deter from the overall appeal of the slot car and will be labeled GEM MINT. ICS GM-MT 10

MINT
An ICS Mint 9 is a superb condition slot car that exhibits only two of the following minor flaws - a very slight hairline on one or both posts or a minor factory imperfection or slight browning of the chassis parts and will be labeled MINT. ICS MT 9

NEAR MINT
An ICS Near Mint 8 is a superb condition slot car that exhibits only two of the following minor flaws - a very slight hairline on one or both posts or a minor factory imperfection or slight browning of the chassis parts and will be labeled NEAR MINT. ICS NR-MT 8

EXCELLENT PLUS
An ICS Excellent Plus 7 is a clean condition slot car that exhibits average overall wear and several of the following minor flaws - a moderate hairline or split on one or both posts, slight scratches on the body or windshield, slight oxidation of the chassis and will be labeled EXCELLENT PLUS. ICS EX-PL 7

EXCELLENT
An ICS Excellent 6 is a moderately used or run slot car with average wear overall and will be labeled EXCELLENT. ICS EX 6

VERY GOOD
An ICS Very Good 5 is a heavily used or run slot car with above average wear overall and exhibits broken posts, cut wheel wells, broken or missing parts or has been poorly painted or repaired and will be labeled VERY GOOD. ICS VG 5

GOOD
An ICS Good 4 is a heavily used or run slot car with above average wear overall and exhibits broken posts, cut wheel wells, broken or missing parts or has been poorly painted or repaired and will be labeled GOOD. ICS GD 4

FAIR
An ICS Fair 3 is a heavily used or run slot car with above average wear overall and exhibits broken posts, cut wheel wells, broken or missing parts or has been poorly painted or repaired and will be labeled FAIR. ICS FR 3

POOR
An ICS Poor 2 is a heavily used or run slot car with above average wear overall and exhibits broken posts, cut wheel wells, broken or missing parts or has been poorly painted or repaired and will be labeled POOR. ICS PR 2

REPAIRED
An ICS Ungraded 1 is a slot car that is submitted to be repackaged for storage or display purposes only which has been repaired and/or repainted and will be labeled REPAIRED. ICS REP 1

UNGRADED
An ICS Ungraded 0 is a slot car that is submitted to be repackaged for storage or display purposes only and will be labeled UNGRADED. ICS UNG 0
